In the 2nd week, none of the initial plants in the starter channel have grown roots long enough to move to the channels with lower water level. The tree above the garden meant to shade it has been shedding all sorts of organic matter that has been getting in the growth channels. In the past week, the garden has experienced a heat wave and a lightning storm; it certainly wasn't fun checking on it in the middle of the storm!

After 1 week of growth, @vinnygrowsvegetables discusses how plant growth has been, and the various problems he encountered. Problems included debris from the canopy above, a rainy day, and slower than expected plant root growth.
