Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 Cup of Sugar
3/4 Cup of Brown Sugar
1 Cup (2 sticks) Butter
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
1 Egg
2 1/4 cup of All Purpose Flour
1/2 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Teaspoon of Baking Soda
1 Cup Chocolate Chips
Nuts Optional
1) Preheat your oven to 375°F
2) Soften the sticks of butter in the microwave. Place into bowl with white and brown sugar
3) Beat butter and sugar together with an electric mixer
4) Add in egg and vanilla extract and beat those into the butter/sugar mixture
5) Add the flour, salt, and baking soda and mix those in with a spoon
6) Stir in the chocolate chips and (optional) nuts to the dough
7) Line two baking trays with parchment paper. Use a spoon to place dough onto the parchment paper
8) Bake cookies for 10 - 12 minutes, or until golden brown
9) Remove from oven when complete and transfer to wire racks to allow the cookies to cool.
